A "wintrified" Urquhart Bay, Loch Ness, five days before Christmas, Inverness-shire, Scotland.

Poem.

Clean, pure, refreshed, pristine……
how a blanket of snow transforms a scene.
The bushes weighed down by emulsion-like blobs,
the branches over-lined by ripples of icing-sugar.
Farms, fields, roads, tracks merge under the snow-blanket
and always Loch Ness never freezes, it just takes on a darker grey hue than the pale grey sky.
The ambience feels frozen in time and the shutter freezes in perpetuity.
The anticipation of familiar scenes “wintrified,”
rarely fails to excite and amaze!!!
