Commentary.

One small hill, 360° views.
Battleship Hill is just north of the town of Oban.
Here, we look south-west across Oban Bay,
down the Sound of Kerrera, to yet more Inner Hebridean islands.
Oban, with its splendid, sheltered bay is often called the Gateway to the Hebrides.
Simply, ferries travel to Coll, Tiree, Mull and the Outer Hebrides.
Just below the mast, left of centre, is Pulpit Hill, another tremendous vantage point, but looking north to Mull, Lismore and Morvern, across Loch Linnhe, which, at this point, is over ten miles wide.
Oban is a very fine town and port, in the midst of a spectacular environment.
