Poem.

The evening sky above the mystical Isle of Skye.
The north-west setting sun of a summer’s evening
spreads golden and salmon-pink light through the stratus clouds and milky-blue sky.

Such a glow creates a navy blue silhouette of the Sleat peninsula.
Above this the Black Cuillin present a bristly, serrated ridge of indigo to cap this magnificent scene.

The breeze-ruffled pale grey Sound of Sleat is hyphenated by a series of parallel rocky skerries that protect and calm the bay-waters of the Arisaig coast where holiday-makers reside to benefit from the stunning views and pristine white beaches.

An awe-inspiring view free from commercialisation and yet timeless, haunting and glorious.
Once seen………………..never forgotten !
