Achterstraat 3 | Goedereede - a photo on Flickriver

            Een zeer karakteristiek gegeven voor Goedereede is het historische bebouwingsbeeld van de uit gepotdekselde houten planken bestaande zwart geteerde schuren. Veel voorstraat- en kerkringdorpen op de Zuid-Hollandse eilanden hebben langs de achterstraten bedrijfsruimten, bestemd voor de berging van wagens en de opslag van landbouwproducten. Soms waren de schuren voorzien van ventilatieluiken ten behoeve van het drogen van gewassen (met name uien). In Goedereede komen nog veel van dergelijke zwart geschilderde (geteerde) gepotdekselde schuren voor.
