Bittern (Botaurus stellaris) - a photo on Flickriver

            We spent the day at RSPB Ham Wall where we saw four Bittern and heard plenty more, the place seems to be alive with them.  This was a first for me so it was a great thrill.  We spent some time searching before we got close enough to get some decent photos of one of the birds.
