The Middelmolen

            The Middelmolen is a Seesaw mill on the Graafdijk West in Molenaarsgraaf, in the municipality of Molenlanden.

The name of the mill says it all; there were at least three here. The Zuidmolen was demolished in 1952. And the northern mill "De Kraak" has already disappeared in 1890.

The mill was probably built in 1655 to drain the polder Giessen-Oudebenedenkerk and Molenaarsgraaf.

These three mills (often called the Giessen mills) ended up parallel to the Graafstroom.

De Middelmolen is een wipmolen aan de Graafdijk West in Molenaarsgraaf, in de gemeente Molenlanden.

De naam van de molen zegt het al; er waren er hier minstens drie. De Zuidmolen werd in 1952 afgebroken. En de noordelijke molen "De Kraak" is al in 1890 verdwenen.

De molen is vermoedelijk in 1655 gebouwd om de polder Giessen-Oudebenedenkerk en Molenaarsgraaf droog te leggen.

Deze drie molens (vaak de Giessen-molens genoemd) kwamen parallel aan de Graafstroom terecht.
