            4/28/24. This 2023(?) Civilian Model Chevy Silverado Is The Sole Cruiser For The One Man Department, Chief Doug Vermilion Makes Up The Entire Department. Chief Vermilion Has 30+ Years On, And At One Time His Department Had 6 Officers. Over The Years, Financial Struggle And Better Pay Has Lured Everyone To Other Departments. Marion Township Is The Largest Jurisdiction To Cover, Over 43 Square Miles Of Land And Three Major State Routes And Chief Vermilion Does It Alone. MTPD Is Usually On Duty On The Weekends And During Special Events. Yes, It Has No Cage/Partition Per Chief Vermillions Request And He Did The Light Install Himself.
