Heavy snow New Street December 1981.

            Due to heavy snow in the Midland's area most train's were running very  late  Class 31 31413 has just arrived with the 06:20 Paddington to Manchester Picadilly due 09:58 arrived 11:05 left 11:30  with 86219. All trains to London Euston were Canceled, Other trains seen that day were 45142 08:13 Bristol to Glasgow due 09:50 arrive 11:45. 50038 08:50 Paddington Manchester due 11:00 arrive 12:00 86231 out.  33027 a Basingstoke to New Street relief. 37254 with a Worcester to New Street Dmu  helping it up the Lickey.50043 10:23         Manchester to Plymouth due off 12: 15 left 14:20 due to frozen point's on platform 9.  47575+ failed 45146 on 08;31  Swansea to Manchester due 11:40 arrive 14:00. and  25220+25224 with a extra from Aberystwyth arrive 13:45. a intresting day.  I photographed as many of them as I could  but as the day went on  the light got worse and by then I was frozen and  went home to thaw out. KC. 12/12/1981.
