White-letter Hairstreak (Satyrium w-album)

            Utterly amazed when I found this relatively rare (no known colonies within 10 miles) and reclusive (lives in the top of the canopy of elm trees) species nectaring in my own garden. Kinda like finding a whale at the bottom of your garden pond! Flintham, Notts. - 9th August, 2013
