            Blässhühner ähneln den Amseln nicht nur farblich, sondern auch in der Hinsicht, dass jedes Jahr einige im Winter in den Süden ziehen und einige hierbleiben. Dieses Foto habe ich Mitte Oktober aufgenommen, zu dieser Zeit sind die ziehenden Exemplare meist schon unterwegs zum Mittelmeer. Auf dem Bild dürfte deshalb einer der Standvögel sein. 

Coots resemble blackbirds not only in colour, but also in the fact that every year some migrate south in the winter and some stay here. I took this photo in mid-October, by which time the migrating specimens are usually already on their way to the Mediterranean. That's why one of the resident birds is probably in the picture.
