MET New York - American Wing - a photo on Flickriver

            The sculpture garden and the façade of a bank
In 1922, when the Branch Bank of the United States on Wall Street was torn down, the façade was saved and moved to the Met.  It was included as one of the external façades of the American wing at the Central Park side of the museum. 
In 1980 this was joined to the Met’s main building by the creation of an enclosed courtyard. This courtyard has low walls to sit and enjoy the American sculptures and decorative arts that are scattered around.
