La Casa sobre el Arroyo - a photo on Flickriver

Also known as La Casa del Puente (The Bridge House)
Built in 1943, it is one of the most recognized architectures of the 20th century worldwide. It was designed and built by Argentine architect Amancio Williams for his father, the musician and composer Alberto Williams.
The work, a house – musical studio framed within the Modern Movement.
Structurally, this work, which also has sculptural values, synthesizes almost abstract geometric shapes. Materialized mainly in reinforced concrete, it behaves as a three-dimensional spatial ensemble.
The park, a green lung located in the center of the city, covers two blocks and is crossed by the bed of the Las Chacras stream.
It is an environmental reserve that houses multiple species of wild fauna and flora from the Pampas, with some species brought by immigrants from other latitudes. This set specifies heritage attributes of an artistic, architectural, historical – symbolic and landscape nature, it is an inseparable environmental unit.
