My B&B was about 20mins drive from Horsey Windpump so it made a convenient sunrise shooting location and still allow me to get back for either a Full English breakfast or waffles, bacon and maple syrup😋

On this morning there was far too much wind to get a reflection in the water or to freeze the grasses so I decided I'd not worry about the grasses other than to try to give a sense of their movement.

The time of year isn't ideal for the position of the sun when rising so I had to just do the best I could but fairly happy with this shot overall.

Horsey Windpump is an iconic building with a fascinating past and the perfect gateway to experience the connection between man and nature. Standing sentinel over the mere and surrounding Broadland landscape, a climb to the top is rewarded with beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding countryside an opportunity not to be missed.
