East Yorkshire - Volvo BZL demonstrator 6001

            On trial with Go ahead owned East Yorkshire for three weeks is MCV-bodied Volvo BZL battery-electric demonstrator BV72 KPF, allocated temporary fleet number 6001. The vehicle is seen here on its second day of service and is to mainly see service on the company’s long standing 66 service linking Hull City Centre with Hull Royal infirmary, MKM stadium, Boothferry Estate and Hessle Squar. Given the flat roads of Hull and Hessle, the electric bus is only using approximately 40% charge on an 11 hour duty.
