Objective: Work toward mastery of the greens

Painted in 3 sessions: 29 April to 4 May 2024
Pigments (Winsor & Newton Artists' oil colour unless otherwise noted): Burnt sienna (initial wash), viridian, sap green, cadmium orange, cadmium red, warm grey (Rembrandt), unbleached titanium (Richeson oils, Shiva Series), Permalba white (Weber). Medium:  Gamsol (initial wash).
Centurion OP DLX oil primed linen, 22.9 x 30.5 cm (9 x 12 inches)

Process: Plein Air with touch-up sessions in studio, the final one after considerable drying.

After Action Evaluation: (1) The greens of the pine (made with viridian and Winsor violet) are too saturated and perhaps still too light. (2) Was looking into the light the best compositional choice?
