Merseyside Police Alpine A110 (PO24 VNN)

            2024 Alpine A110 1.8 GT

Static displays at the British Grand Prix are usually abysmal and this year, once again, was no exception to the rule. However, the local constabulary usually attempt to make up for it.

For a few years Northamptonshire Police and the Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) had a brilliant display of vehicles on show for the spectators. 

Sadly, this year's offering was much smaller than usual but there were still some nice things on show.

Amongst a number of vehicles parked up alongside the old start/finish straight was this stunning Alpine A110 that is currently on a year-long loan to Merseyside Police.

Attached to the Roads Policing Unit (RPU) the car is used as a part of the force's Road Safety Campaign and can be seen at events across the county.

Despite not having a roof-mounted lightbar it is blue-light equipped front and rear and looks quite good when they light it up.

Undoubteldy the nicest thing on display by a country mile I was surprised to see it so far away from home and my neck of the woods.

In fact, if I'd known Merseyside Police were going to be at the event I'd have asked for a lift and saved on one of Silverstone's extortionate £60 car park passes!
