            This Mw shot is from the night of the peak of the Persied meteor shower on Aug 11/12  this year. I didn't catch much in the way of meteors, but did get this before settling in  for the shower. I saw at least 30 during the couple hours before the moon came up, but I did not manage to catch anything other than a few small ones with the camera. It was definitely operator error - I had the camera pointed in  a weak direction, and my foreground tree was blocking at least half the sky.
