It had arrived into Bishop’s Stortford Station , empty , the Driver changed ends , and took it into the Carriage Sidings to the south of Bishop's Stortford Station . 

Built by BREL in 1981 as 317302 , 40 years later they are coming to the end of their working lives , and are gradually heading for the scrap yard .
