IAIS #6988 - South Amana - a photo on Flickriver

            While I still have quite a bit of Big Boy photos to edit and post, I feel like you guys are getting kind of bored with the same ol' thing in my photostream, so I'm going to spend some time in Iowa for awhile. Specifically, the IAIS QJ Steam Locomotive, which ran a bunch of excursion around the Iowa City area on the weekend of Aug 21/22. 

Here, in the pre-dawn hours of Saturday, the IAIS #6988 gets underway, moving from the servicing area to tie onto the train it will be pulling for the day.

Don't worry, there's still 1 whole day of my following Big Boy in OK/TX to go AND another 3 days when it came through the St. Louis area still to be posted.
