UP 8358 East - a photo on Flickriver

UP 8358 East

            Union Pacific symbol ILTLT (the "Lathrop Shuttle") rolls eastbound near milepost 47.75, just east of Altamont Pass on the Oakland Subdivision. This is the former First Subdivision of the Western Pacific Railroad. The former Southern Pacific right-of-way can be seen below and to the right of the old WP.

The lead unit is an EMD SD70ACe.
