Sunrise Great Blue Heron With Palm Tree Bokeh, While Standing On One Leg!! HBW!

            Um, yeah, the Great Blue Heron was standing on one leg, not me! LOL!  10 hours on the boat, a great day, and my favorite shot ends up being this one from the dock at the boat ramp before we left.  It was one of those shots, where you know while you are shooting, that you might be getting lucky.  

The delicious light, the bokeh palm frond spray background, the pose of the crane with his head barely touching his shoulder, and the "oh my goodness" detail and depth and color of the feathers.  Not meaning to be immodest, but I love this shot, and again it was a lucky moment of light and life.  I can't help but share the things I like best, and I was also really jazzed when I was shooting this and even more so when I got it out of the can.  I think this one is worth printing and hanging in our house, so I can remember that feeling ("Oh wow, this could be really good!" every time I see it.  I hope you like it too!        

 Update November 2010!  This shot won Best of Show in the Greater Hillsborough County Fair!  Holy Donuts!  I was so proud! =o)
