The yellow 'Banksia Rose' at Breenhold Gardens

            The yellow 'Banksia Rose', also known as the 'Lady Banks Rose' flowering in its golden colours on the Gothic Wall at the Breenhold Gardens, Mount Wilson - in the Blue Mountains.

The Banksia Rose, 'Rosa banksiae', or the 'Lady Banks Rose', originated in China, and is named after the wife of famous botanist Sir Joseph Banks. It is an evergreen rose with few, if any, thorns. It is a dense climber to about 6 metres – perfect for covering a fence OR a Gothic Wall in the Blue Mountains!
