Woman Boxer in Old Havana - a photo on Flickriver

            Many of Cuba's 41 Olympic gold boxing medals were awarded to fighters who trained at the Gimnasio Rafael Trejo. This famous gym attracts boxers from all over the world who come to train in this dilapidated, outdoor structure tucked away into a corner of Old Havana. Women boxers have been training since the early 2000's hoping to get a chance to represent Cuba at the Olympics, but women's competitive boxing is still forbidden in Cuba.
