Topeka Nights

            A pair of Union Pacific standard cab EMDs lay over in their yard on a warm, July evening, along with a CN Tier IV GE. In this part of the country, this is about the only part of the day that it's tolerable to get outside for any amount of time.

Here, I love the appearance of the backlit exhaust by the yard's Sodium-Vapor lights. The 714 was originally built for the Missouri Pacific in 1980, while the 1795 is a UP original, built in 1973.
