Staveley Presbyterian Church - a photo on Flickriver

            .....built pre-1900.
Staveley was named for Robert Staveley, who was a runholder in the area and who had his own farm in this location, nestled under the mid-Canterbury foothills. 
The small settlement of Staveley has a shop and cafe, a small church, a hall, an old school which now is the local museum and a small number of houses. In 1949 the small rural community built a natural ice rink which today is still a popular place during winter months.
Autumn was in full swing with colours glowing against a wet, dull and cold day.
