«L’ultimo decreto del governo non contiene una data di riapertura delle spiagge in quanto non esiste una legge che le chiuda. Per farla semplice, le spiagge sono aperte; di conseguenza, gli operatori si possono attivare gli impianti». Con questa nota ufficiale il ministro del Turismo, Massimo Garavaglia, ha di fatto aperto la stagione turistico-balneare del 2021. Che sostanzialmente avrà le stesse regole di quella del 2020, la prima in era Covid.
Essere vaccinati non vorrà dire poter togliere la mascherina: per riaprire in sicurezza è importante continuare a tenere alta la guardia finché non sarà raggiunta l'immunità di gregge. «In attesa di quel momento l'alternativa non è certamente restare chiusi: si tratta di sfruttare nel migliore dei modi il vantaggio combinato della vaccinazione e dell'estate», osserva il virologo Francesco Broccolo, dell'Università di Milano Bicocca. «È importante - aggiunge - non ripetere gli errori fatti nell'estate 2020».

"While waiting for that moment, the alternative is certainly not to remain closed: it is a question of exploiting the combined advantage of vaccination and summer in the best possible way," observes virologist Francesco Broccolo, of the University of Milan Bicocca. "It is important - he adds - not to repeat the mistakes made in the summer of 2020".
