La siccità è ormai un problema strutturale, è uno dei prezzi che paghiamo al cambiamento climatico. Dobbiamo prepararci a una realtà nuova, caratterizzata anche da una riduzione della disponibilità idrica media annua del 19% dell’ultimo trentennio rispetto al precedente (ISPRA, 2022) e cambiare, anche ponendo rimedio agli errori del passato a cominciare dagli sprechi e dalle perdite della rete di distribuzione (oggi fino al 40%) e nelle case, dove gli italiani sono campioni d’Europa di spreco (220 litri in media abitante al giorno).

WHAT REMAINS OF THE WATER....

Drought is now a structural problem, it is one of the prices we pay for climate change. We must prepare for a new reality, also characterized by a reduction in the average annual water availability of 19% over the last thirty years compared to the previous one (ISPRA, 2022) and change, also by remedying the mistakes of the past starting with the waste and losses of distribution network (today up to 40%) and in homes, where Italians are European champions of waste (220 liters on average inhabitant per day).
