KESTREL (jUV.) // FALCO TINNUNCULUS (65-80CM)

            EARLY MORNING ENCOUNTER,  not sure who was surprised the most,  the young kestrel or me, and  a rapid few shots fired, and it was gone !!! The juvenile resembles an adult female, but the upperparts are more reddish brown. this is widespread and familiar small falcon and the regions commonest raptor Reported. numbers are in decline , but not seen that in our S.E corner of Kent.
