If you're going to complain about this (or if you're not) I recommend the book "Better never to have been: The harm of coming into existence" by David Benatar. (For example, the chapter "Abortion: The pro-death view".) It was the best book I read in 2015. :) Free PDF behind the title-link!

While we're on the subject, here are a few more points about this abortion and other ones! :)

- It wasn't my cat.

- You can't torture me until I reveal the owner's name, because I don't remember it.

- I didn't spay her. (I'm not a veterinarian. But as a vet nurse, I've neutered a few tomcats. Just wanted to shoe-horn that in there.)

- If my non-existent cat escaped and got pregnant before I had time to get her spayed, I would have her kittens aborted too.

- I've never been pregnant (AFAIK), but if I was, NOTHING could stop me from aborting it. Well... Nothing except kidnapping, psychosis, or coma. o_O I think some people get tattoos saying "If found pregnant, please abort." Hmmm... :B Anyway, between my IUD, my sexual invisibility, my fear of STD:s, and my advanced age (39), I'm not hella likely to get pregnant. :D

- I could call the abortion "murder".

- I could call the cell blob "human". *shrug*

- I could call the cell blob "baby".

- I could call the cell blob "alive", because it would be, having metabolism and shit going on.

- "Alive" does not always equal "sentient". -_-

- It would be a mercy killing.

- It would be self defense.

- I could watch the heartbeat before the procedure, easy peasy. Screenshots? Yes!

- Once I was done barfing from the pain, I'd celebrate with pizza. ^_^

- The commonly heard phrase "An abortion is the most difficult choice a woman can make! Waaaaaa!" wouldn't apply to me. Speak for yourself. It wouldn't be a hard choice for me. Uh, it wouldn't even be a choice.

- Depending on intact-ness, I would put the cell blob in a jar. I love freaky medical shit in jars. I've saved my sawed-up wisdom teeth too. Gonna save my current IUD when I get a new one.

- I would prominently display said jar.

- I would shoot the cell blob. With my camera. Might need a microscope. (Check out my existing micrographs!)

- I would upload the cell blob.

- I'd constantly namedrop the abortion in order to
a) annoy anti-abortionists
b) support people who feel ashamed, sad, or ambivalent about having abortions themselves

- Have I mentioned my antinatalism today? I wish I had been aborted or miscarried or never-existent. (Btw, most humans are miscarried before they are even noticed.)
