Sunset Crossing

            A wild pony of Assateague Island--taken back in 2014, but I just gave it a face lift (July 2019), going back into the digital darkroom.  Of all the photos I've taken on the island, and it's been a bunch, this is probably my fave.

From when I originally uploaded this back in 2014, I wrote:

Just a postcard from my present location--Assateague island--on my way to Washington, DC.  It looked as if a decent sunset was developing, so I looked around for something of interest to capture in silhouette and hit the jackpot with a group of wild horses that decided to cross this shallow inlet on the bay side.  It might have been nice if they had crossed en masse, but they chose to do it singly.  Not sure that this is the best image I came up with, but when I get home, I'll look them over more closely.
