EVB 140 870-7 nij Leschede op 14-2-2019

            Op donderdag 14 februari 2019 was het eindelijk weer eens een hele dag zonnig. Een mooie dag om er met de camera op uit te trekken om treinen te spotten. We gingen eerst in Wierden kijken waar twee mooie goederentreinen werden gespot. Daarna werd Zenderen bezocht waar de RFO 1829 werd vastgelegd. Omdat er op de Bentheimer-route niet veel meer zou komen, zijn we de grens overgestoken.

Bij Leschede hebben we in een paar uren tijd twaalf goederentreinen gescoord. In het laatste licht van de dag kwam de fraaie EVB 140 870-7 langs met een autotrein richting Emden.

De locomotief kwam op 18 mei 1973 in dienst bij de toenmalige Deutsche Bundesbahn. Altijd gaaf om dergelijke klassiekers mee te pakken en mooi dat deze voormalige DB-locs nog een tweede leven bij een ander bedrijf krijgen.
