Unstyled John Deere 'B' owned by Oscar Watte of Los Alamitos

            Photo taken at the California Antique Farm Equipment Show in Tulare, CA.

During the first half of the 20th Century, the Wattes farmed the land now occupied by part of The Shops at Rossmoor shopping center, approximately where the Sprouts grocery store is now located.

This tractor was started by hand; the operator would grasp the flywheel (the circular device that appears here just ahead of the rear wheel) in order to spin the engine's crankshaft.
