Magpies and Sheep ( odd relationship) (2)

            I have never seen this behaviour before, therefore I've googled for some more information.

Whilst  magpies are omnivores, the sheep have nothing to fear from the magpies presence.Most sheep appear oblivious to their cheeky  guests.
Despite they strong beak with its sharp edge ideal for digging up invertebrates and picking fruit, the magpie is in fact picking ticks and maggots of the sheep.
In this rather odd relationship ,the sheep benefit from the removal of harmful insects and the magpie gets a tasty snack.
