Under the Tower. Caladium and Aglaonema, Bukit Nanas, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

            So I went to walk again in a small bit of forest preserve in the middle of KLCC, Bukit Nanas. It's sad the hill is increasingly being strangled by the necessities of a modern city. It used to be a very well-kept place with clean trails and lots of wild plants. Of course, it still has some of that old 'jungle atmosphere', but it's not being taken care of very well. And the former diversity of wild life is gone. Still, it remains a good place for a breather.
On top of the hill is the famed KL Tower, the theme of the main photo. Insets are of two foliate plants from the forest, a Caladium (originally hailing from South America) and an Aglaonema.
