But I did. Until Saturday evening, May 18, 2024, the last time I loaded my phone and tablet with this cable. Amateurishly fixed some time ago with fabric tape because isolating tape wasn't at hand – but when I took a closer look at it while preparing the setup for my MM photo I thought "No, you better not continue using this cable." For the photo, I bent the cable some more so the wires became more visible.

I used warning packing tape as background and fixed the cable to it with leftovers of the tape. The idea was to make an x-sign that is used in some warning signs (although not in high-voltage warnings). The image is focus-stacked because I thought all-over sharpness looked best with this type of image. I also set my camera to 1:1 ratio because it was easier to get an exact corner placement of the tape's red/white pattern and the cable this way. With 4:3 ratio the corners had always been slightly off.
