Wellington N2980 - a photo on Flickriver

Wellington N2980

            The fuselage, front turret,  starboard wing and engine of Wellington Bomber N2980. The aircraft ended up in Loch Ness after developing engine trouble on a training flight in December 1940.  It then spent the nearly 45 years under water before being salvaged in 1985. After nearly 100,000 of restoration work it is now on Display in Brooklands Museum.
