EARLY RISERS......... - a photo on Flickriver

            50015 'Valiant' and 50008 'Thunderer' 'railtour engines' sit on Bristol Bath Road shed with a classes 31, 37, 47 and 08 for company on 25-5-91.  See comments from 1Z50 below!
31511 is the loco in the foreground.

This is part of the Tom Derrington Collection with photographer not identified. There were no details with the medium format slide but it looks very much like they were being prepared for a railtour together.

My vaguely educated guesses are that this is either the day before working the Pathfinder Tours, The Cornish Centurion. 25 & 26 Feb 1991. Though it certainly wasn't the 26th as it was nighttime when they departed [03L07a ~ 03L37d].

The other option would be 4th May 1991 with the Cornish Centurion 2. It does look like an early morning shot. Having scanned the horizon for tree growth however I still can't be sure. Though if pushed I would go for this latter date.

Any thoughts on this would be gratefully received.
