This is very close to the junction for the Bromyard Branch which closed in 1964.

The working is the Great Western Railway service 2V59 1139 Gloucester to Great Malvern.
Usually a 'Turbo' it was almost certainly strengthened because of Cheltenham Gold Cup day. It was running 7 minutes late.
