Everlong - a Foo Fighters tribute made in SL

"Take care of each other and I'll take care of me..."

These few words are part of Taylor Hawkins last voice message before he passed away 72 hours ago from an overdose in his hotel room. The Foo Fighters were in Brazil to perform at the Lollapalooza festival. That day, Dave Grohl, leader and singer of the band lost another brother....

The first time I heard about Taylor, I was a kiddo, looking up at my bro and sis, both much older than me and listening to all these mid 90's rock bands and artists like Nirvana and Alanis to name a very few... That's when I fell in love with Rock and this guy became one of the greatest legends to me, a freakingly talentous self-taught drummer. Sadly, I never got the chance to see him play live...

This picture was taken months ago as a tribute to one of my all time favorite bands : The Foo Fighters. It was supposed to represent Dave Grohl and his guitar as seen in the "Pretender" music video. Little did I know Taylor would be dead by the time I'd post this...

Back then I was very hesitant with the song I'd use to go with this picture, as I love so many ! But today, I picked "Let it die" since it deals with drug addiction (rumors say Dave wrote this to let his anger out regarding his former band mate Kurt Cobain)

I usual don't rant like this but today I make an exception, because I am a quite angry and very sad.

My heart goes to his family, his fellow group members who cry his death, and the FF fans all over the world.

Legends never really die.
