La fine del 2019 e l’avvento del 2020 hanno portato una ventata di novità nel parco ferroviario siciliano. Con l’entrata in servizio dei nuovi ETR 104 – POP i servizi regionali a breve e media distanza beneficeranno di un vero e proprio salto di qualità. Si tratta di convogli di moderna concezione equipaggiati con attrezzature in grado di soddisfare al meglio le esigenze dei viaggiatori (per le caratteristiche vedi a-f-s.forumattivo.com/t1225-etr-104-pop#47429 )
Nella foto gentilmente offertaci da F. Crea possiamo ammirare l’ETR 104-008 al binario 1 della stazione di Messina Centrale in procinto di effettuare un servizio metroferroviario per e da Giampilieri.

New Year, New Train (Photo of the Month nr. 117 – January 2020)

The end of 2019 and the advent of 2020 brought a breath of fresh air to the Sicilian railway park. With the entry into service of the new ETR 104 - POP, regional short and medium distance services will benefit from a real qualitative leap. The ETR 104-POP are new-concept trains equipped with modern equipment capable of satisfying the needs of travelers in the best possible way (for characteristics see a-f-s.forumattivo.com/t1225-etr-104-pop#47429 )
In the photo kindly offered to us by F. Crea, we can admire the ETR 104-008 at platform 1 of the Messina Centrale station ready to carry out a metro service for and by Giampilieri.
