            EcoWaste Coalition President Eileen Sison gives opening remarks during the Seminar on Mercury poisoning: Minamata @ 60 organized by EcoWaste Coalition, in partnership with Collaboration Centre for Minamata Disease Victims (CCMDV) and Minamata Disease Victim Mutual Aid Society on January 18, 2017 in Quezon City.

BAN Toxics also calls for the ratification of Minamata Convention on Mercury that will phase out and phase down the use of mercury in products and industrial processes, set control measures on emissions to the environment and formalize and regulate artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) to prevent the use of toxic chemicals such as mercury in mining. © BAN Toxics
