Pony and foal on Dartmoor - a photo on Flickriver

            This pony has only recently given birth to the foal resting by her side, and I wouldn't be surprised if another was due shortly. Ponies are sociable creatures, and this one was part of a small group who happily posed briefly with her foal for the camera. In the distance on the right we can see the TV transmitter aerial just outside Princetown. This shot was taken near Dartmeet, where the East and West Dart rivers join together before flowing south to the sea at Dartmouth.
