            On December 9, knowing Larry and I wanted to explore Nova Scotia's rail to trail system, he suggested we drive to an interesting cafe. The Bike & Bean is located in a former train station, with the cafe in the building and the bike shop in the connecting caboose. On the way, he showed us one of the places he first rented on his own arrival in the province in the mid-80's. We walked together for the first kilometre, but then Larry and I continued for another kilometre or so and rejoined him. We had a couple of reasons for going back. Firstly, it was just to relive moments with Brian. But then, Brian had threatened to sell our bikes which we had bought before Christmas unless we actually started to use them. We cycled all the way from Halifax to this spot in Upper Tantallon and back in honour of  him. Apologies if I don't comment on your great photos for the moment.
