Şişko Papatya (Fat Daisy) - a photo on Flickriver

            Papatyanın bir cinsi bunlar. Tozlanma ve döllenmenin sonrasında hamile dişi göbeği gibi göbekleri şişiyor. Şişman şişman oluyorlar. Yeryüzünde yaşayan papatyalar Asteraceae diye bilimsel isimlendirmesi altında, çiçekli bitkilerin en büyük familyası olarak bilinir. Dünyada 1100 cins ve 25000 civarında türle temsil edilen kozmopolit bir familyadır.
Bulunduğumuz iklim kuşağında yaz kış bir yerlerde güneşi gördükçe açan bir papatya vardır. Kaynatılıp çiçeklerinden yapılan çayın birçok yararı olduğu söylenir.
