Duquesne Village Shopping Center, West MIfflin, PA

            I took this in October 1995. I'd been wanting to snap the sign but what made me take the photo was the message that sounded like a plea to the senator!

You can see in the background that the center was getting a Postmodern facelift so the sign was soon replaced by a plastic one with a new name, just The Village - bland and conveniently dropping the name of the adjacent city in decline. TIll this day, no one calls it The Village.
