            Spotted-Owl (Mexican), Strix occidentals lucida, 17.5 in. / 44.45 cm.  UNCOMMON to RARE and declining.  Associated with oaks and conifers in shaded canyons especially close to rocky cliffs.   Photographed in June 2009.
