De CP 1507 in Loulé - a photo on Flickriver

            Het is een beste tijd geleden dat de CP 1507 een pot verf gezien heeft als deze op donderdag 9 oktober 1997 rangeert bij station Loulé in de Algarve. Deze locomotieven werden in 1948 in een serie van 12 gebouwd voor de CP door ALCO (American Locomotive Company, Amerikaanse liefhebbers van locs van dit merk worden ALCOholics genoemd) en waren daarmee de eerste lijndiesellocs voor breedspoor in Portugal. De laatste gingen rond 2000 buiten dienst. In 1997 waren nog diverse stations in het zuiden van Portugal beveiligd met armseinen maar met de elektrificatie en modernisering in later jaren is dat allemaal verdwenen.
