Een 99'er van DB op het Olbersdorfviaduct

            Je zou zeggen DDR-tijd maar het is toch echt donderdag 12 mei 1994 als een 99'er van DB met trein 8024 onderweg is van Zittau naar Kurort Jonsdorf en het Olbersdorfviaduct passeert. Laat nou net op dat moment een zongaatje doorbreken en iemand met z'n Trabant onder het viaduct door rijden! Stoom op normaalspoor was in de DDR in 1988 verleden tijd maar op het smalspoor bestond het nog toen de Berlijnse Muur viel. Tot 1 januari 1994 was dit dagelijkse DR-dienst dus per die datum werd het volautomatisch Deutsche Bahn. In 1996 werd de exploitatie van de lijnen Zittau-Kurort Kipsdorf en Zittau-Kurort Jonsdorf overgenomen door de Sächsisch-Oberlausitzer Eisenbahngesellschaft (SOEG mbH). De locs (geen apostrof in dit woord) serie 99 dateren uit de jaren 1920.
