Ozone Falls: Well of Power - a photo on Flickriver

            I want to meet this mighty waterfall.
Up close and personal.
Crawling the base of the fall,
I find her.
Stirring in a well of power,
I am not welcome.
Waves of wind and water,
blowing me backward.
Bracing the rocks,
lest I blow away.
Catching a brief gaze,
I hold firm.
I listen.
I feel. 
I am still alive.

This is as close as I could get to the base of the waterfall. It was impossible to keep water off of the lens. The best I could hope for was prefocus on an estimated distance, hope I get the camera in the right spot and try to capture the magic. It was worth getting soaked.
