White Light

So! I know I have been lagging on posting pictures from my 365 Project. I decided that I wanted to do a 52 Week Project, one photo a week. With my Narcolepsy and school coming up, it'll be impossible for me to shoot a great photo every day.

Anyways, I decided to try a little something different this time when editing myself in Photoshop. Like most photographers, we stalk Phlearn and use the free tutorials to learn something new. This time, I tried applying a new technique learned in a paid tutorial. Its called the "Commercial Portrait Editing" tutorial. I highly suggest it! It allowed me to perfect skin editing while retaining detail.

While I still believe modest skin retouching is important and has its place for a more natural look, I can also appreciate the highly retouched/surreal portrait look. Ya know?? I feel like I have been searching for resources on how to achieve this look, but it has taken me months to obtain. However, once I watched Aaron Nace's tutorial video linked above, I found some clarity.
